In August of 2025, a friend I had known for many decades asked me if The Record Crate would be interested in purchasing his recently deceased mother’s (mostly) classical music collection.  I told him that it would be an honor to do so because I had known his mother almost as long as I’d known him, and knew her to be an amazing woman.  He then told me he’d have to clear it with the rest of  his family, and of course I understood that.  The family gave permission and he brought her collection to me to look over.

What I saw was one of the best classical collections I had ever seen! There were records going back to the early 1960’s and beyond, and almost all of them were in excellent condition; many of them were even in the original shrink wrap.  The Record Crate purchased these beautiful vinyl recordings and we are pleased to present them to you, our wonderful customers.

My friend’s mother’s nickname was Jody, and so to honor her we are calling these lovely vinyl records “The Jody Collection”! Each record in the collection has a sticker clearly stating “The Jody Collection” on it so there can be no doubt.  Shortly after the vinyl purchase we also purchased her CD collection, and these also are clearly labeled.
